Privacy Policy

TalkedAbout ("we", "us") provides AI-visibility reports and monitoring for businesses. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account & order details — your email address, business name, and website URL, provided when you buy a report, subscribe, or request a free scan.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Scan data — public information about your business website and how public AI assistants describe your business. This is generated by our service, not collected from you.
• Email engagement — whether our emails to you were delivered, and whether a link in them was opened. Our cold emails are plain text and contain no tracking pixel.
• Site usage — when you visit this website we log the page path, the referring page, any campaign parameters in the link, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way hashed fingerprint derived from your IP address. We never store your raw IP address, we set no cookies, and we use no third-party analytics — this logging is self-hosted and exists so we can count visits and see which pages work.
• Your results page — if we emailed you a link to your own scan results, that link contains a unique identifier so the page can show your business's data. We record when it is opened and which buttons on it are clicked, so we know whether the report was useful.

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this site.

How we obtained your business contact details

If you received an email from us without having contacted us first, here is exactly how that happened, in full:

• We identified your business through public business listings (for example, Google's public business data) for a category and city.
• We visited your public website and read the business contact address published on it — typically a general address such as info@ or contact@. We only ever read pages that are publicly accessible, and we skip any site whose terms prohibit contact-address collection.
• We then ran our own product against your business — asking public AI assistants the questions your customers ask — and emailed you the result.

We do not buy, sell, rent or trade contact lists, and we never guess or generate email addresses. Every email we send identifies us, states our postal address, and carries a working opt-out. Reply "unsubscribe" to any message, use the unsubscribe link, or email sam@trytalkedabout.com — the removal is immediate, permanent, and applies to every one of our systems including any other location or brand sharing that address.

How we use it

• To deliver the reports and monitoring you purchased.
• To email you scan results you requested, and related follow-ups. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
• To operate outreach: if we emailed your business, the contact information came from your public website, and every such email includes a working opt-out that we honor permanently.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the product (payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting, AI model providers used to generate your report).

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing sam@trytalkedabout.com. California residents: this is your notice at collection under the CCPA/CPRA; we honor access and deletion requests within 45 days and do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA.

Data retention

Reports and scan results are retained so your subscription can show trends over time. If you delete your account or unsubscribe and request deletion, we remove your personal information within 45 days.
